The Gun Violence Intervention Team, in partnership with Anne Arundel County Public Libraries and community organizations, is offering FREE gun safety lock boxes and vital educational resources to adult residents and workers of Anne Arundel County.

We understand that firearm safety is paramount. Our goal is to make it easier for you to secure your firearms, preventing unintentional injuries and saving lives in our community.

Did you know? In 2024, Anne Arundel County tragically experienced 11 gun-related homicides and 26 gun-related suicides. A simple gun safety lock box can create a critical pause, offering a life-saving intervention during moments of crisis or preventing accidental access.

Getting your free gun safety lock box is simple and confidential:

Who is eligible? Adult (18+) residents and workers of Anne Arundel County.

Do I need a library card? No.

Do I need to show proof of residency? No.
