The Anne Arundel County Department of Health is a unique dual agency. This means that the department consists of both County and State Employees. The differences between County and State policies and procedures can be found throughout all stages of employment, ranging from the application process to employee benefits to different paid holidays. The department places a high value on the knowledge and experience brought forth by both County and State employees.
