Opioid Abatement Fund Community Grants FY26

Department of Health Announces Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for Opioid Abatement Fund Community Grants

The Anne Arundel County Department of Health (AACDOH) is seeking community and faith-based organizations that provide behavioral health services and are interested in receiving funding. The intent is to establish or enhance opioid abatement activities that align with both the Anne Arundel County Overdose Prevention Team (OPT) FY26-FY29 Strategic Plan and Maryland Office of Overdose Response (MOOR) Priority Pillars: Prevention, Harm Reduction, Treatment, Recovery, and Public Safety. Priority will be given to applications that include diversity, equity and inclusion as a component of the proposed project.

Opioid Abatement Fund Community Grant funds may only be used to cover costs that align with the OPT Strategic Plan and MOOR Priority Pillars, and are not funded through other opportunities. Examples of eligible activities include, but are not limited to, awareness and education campaigns, recovery support services, training and outreach activities. Please refer to the NOFA for a list of ineligible expenditures.

Grant funds will be available for a period of two years, based on appropriations and performance. Interested Anne Arundel County organizations shall apply to the AACDOH's Behavioral Health Bureau as described in the NOFA.

Completed applications and supporting documentation should be submitted to bh.community.grants@aacounty.org.
