Location: 122 North Langley Road, Suite A & B, Glen Burnie, MD 21060
Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Description

Nature of Work:

Work with all customers who are referred by the local Department of Social Services to screen, assess and refer to treatment any individual who needs substance use disorder treatment. Provide and refer for urinalysis services and case-manage all individuals in the Substance Abuse and Treatment Services (SATS) by providing follow-up on all individuals on a monthly basis.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: 

Associate degree in counseling, human services or related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

Conducting screenings and assessments for substance use disorder treatment with an understanding of American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) levels of care and Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th Edition (DSM-5) criteria for opioid use disorder. Experience providing care coordination and case management services.

License or Certification:

LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, LCPC, LCADC, CAC-AD, CSC-AD, ADT

Notes:

Must have a personal vehicle available for travel to perform work duties. Must have a current Maryland driver’s license with a clear driving record.

Desired or Preferred Qualifications:

Good standing as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Graduate Counselor (LGPC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker–Certified (LCSW-C). Certification by the Board of Professional Counselors as a Certified Associate Counselor – Alcohol and Drug (CAC-AD), Certified Supervised Counselor – Alcohol and Drug (CSC-AD) and Alcohol and Drug Trainee (ADT) will be considered.
