Hours: 32.5 hours per week

Job Description

Nature of Work:

Conduct hearing and vision screenings for children in Anne Arundel County schools, focusing on community school needs. Responsible for maintaining records, filing and preparing correspondence. Duties and Responsibilities: (list is not inclusive)

  • Conduct vision and hearing screenings in accordance with the vision and hearing guidelines.
  • Transport, maintain, set up, remove and operate vision and hearing equipment.
  • Record vision and hearing results accurately and neatly.
  • Prepare correspondence and statistics.
  • Work professionally with school staff and parent volunteers.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Assist in preparing screening calendar for the school year.
  • Participate in training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: 

High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED)

Notes:

Work hours follow the public school calendar. A driver’s license and personal vehicle are required for transportation to assigned work sites throughout Anne Arundel County.
