|Location: 711 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401
|Hours: The selected candidate will work alternating weekends, Saturday and Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (A total of 16 hours every other weekend)
|Salary: $19.24 per hour or $20.39 per hour for certified peers
|Nature of Work: The selected candidate will function as a non-clinical, peer-based professional who engages, educates and supports individuals to make the life changes necessary to recover from a disabling mental illness and/or substance use disorder. The job duties are educational and coaching in nature. A key element that enhances and distinguishes this position is that the candidate appropriately highlights their personal experience of recovery. The selected candidate will provide post-overdose intervention outreach to overdose survivors in the community. The candidate will work as a member of a two-person team with the primary goal of keeping people safe, however that is defined by the individual. This position requires travel to locations throughout Anne Arundel County.
|Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED).
|Desired or Preferred Qualifications: The selected candidate must have very strong time management and organizational skills; the ability to work independently and on a team; excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent organizational skills; and an understanding of Anne Arundel County resources. The candidate must also be proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and electronic medical records.
