Location: 7481 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, Glen Burnie, MD 21061
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Job Description

Nature of Work:

Provide a safe, stable and supportive environment for parents in early recovery from substance use disorders who have at least one child in their custody. Pregnant women may also qualify for this program. This temporary living arrangement allows residents to rebuild their lives in a secure setting while developing essential skills for successful recovery. Participation in the program is based on individual needs and the ability to meet its requirements. Responsible for the comprehensive coordination of behavioral health services for families living in Parents with Children Recovery Housing who are facing complex psychosocial challenges. Involves actively engaging these families in recovery-oriented treatment planning, primarily conducted in the field. Deliver targeted education and outreach both individually and in group settings, covering the full spectrum of services within the substance use continuum of care. Performance will be reviewed and evaluated by the supervisor to ensure the highest standards of excellence. Maintain accurate records in Welligent, a cloud-based electronic health record system, documenting all interactions with participants, and ensuring compliance with required training.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: 

Associate degree in behavioral health or related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

Bachelor’s or Associate with at least two years of working in the behavioral health field.

Notes:

Have no current involvement with the criminal justice system. Behavioral Health Services will take into account the time since the last conviction and the type of crime committed. Requires a personal vehicle available for travel and a current Maryland driver's license with a clean driving record.

Desired or Preferred Qualifications:

Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and work independently and on a team. Excellent time management, organizational, written and oral communication skills. Have an understanding of Anne Arundel County resources. Be proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and electronic health records. Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to communicate in both written and oral form. Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders.
