Hours: 40 hours per week, 11:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. two days per week
Salary: $50,000 to $76,000

Job Description

Nature of Work:

Provide behavioral health counseling for children, adolescents and their families in the Adolescent and Family Services clinics. Functions within a multidisciplinary treatment team and will facilitate one-on-one sessions with clients and families as well as group sessions. If clinically indicated and part of the treatment plan, may conduct drug screens for adolescents.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide treatment services to patients, ages 4-18, and their families, including individual, family and group modalities. Provide case management, follow-up and referrals to services.
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments, substance use assessments/screenings (including urinalysis) and diagnosis of patients.
  • Develop person-centered treatment plans and document treatment notes, contact notes, correspondence and other written reports essential to the treatment of the patients, following DOH policies and COMAR regulations.
  • Coordinate interagency contacts by phone, written correspondence and meetings to provide continuity of care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary staff meetings as well as group and individual supervision to evaluate best practices, plan treatment protocols and track patients' progress through peer review and case conference.
  • Provide phone service to the community in order to make risk assessments, provide crisis intervention services and screen for appropriate information and referral.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Master’s degree in behavioral health field from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

Minimum of two years experience providing behavioral health services to adolescents and families. Bilingual preferred.

License or Certification:

LGMFT, LCMFT, LMSW, LCSW, LGPC, LCPC

Desired or Preferred Qualifications:

Familiar with Anne Arundel County Resources
