Clone of Opioid Abatement Fund Community Grants FY27

Department of Health Announces Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for Opioid Abatement Fund Community Grants

The Anne Arundel County Department of Health (AACDOH) is seeking community and faith-based organizations that provide behavioral health services and are interested in receiving funding. The intent is to establish or enhance opioid abatement activities that align with the following:

Priority will be given to applications for programs and services focused on families dealing with substance use, with the intention of creating a supportive community safety net for children and families that have been impacted by substance use or lost a loved one to opioid overdose. Diversity, equity, and inclusion should be considered within the proposed program.

Opioid Abatement Fund Community Grant funds may only be used to cover costs that align with the above and are not funded through other opportunities. Examples of eligible activities include, but are not limited to, grief and bereavement support, awareness and education campaigns, recovery support services, training and outreach activities. Please refer to the NOFA for ineligible expenditures.

Grant funds will be available for a period of two years, based on appropriations and performance. Interested Anne Arundel County behavioral health providers shall apply to the AACDOH's Behavioral Health Bureau as described in the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA).

Completed applications and supporting documentation should be submitted to bh.community.grants@aacounty.org.
