Advisory Issued for Four Beaches Due to High Enterococci or Bacteria Levels

Annapolis, MD (06/27/2025) – Effective June 27, 2025 the Department of Health has issued a health advisory for swimming, and other direct water contact due to high enterococci or bacteria levels for the following locations: 

  • Bayside Beach
  • Carrollton Manor on the Severn
  • Upper Magothy Beach
  • Venice on the Bay

The Department of Health advises against swimming, waterskiing and other direct water contact activities. The advisory is in effect until follow-up testing shows water quality conditions are acceptable. The advisory is in effect until follow-up testing shows water quality conditions are acceptable.
