Important Information - Who Can Use This?
This online renewal is only for:
- Permanent Food Service Facilities that currently hold a food service facility license.
- Mobile Food Service Facilities that currently hold a food service facility license.
- Facilities choosing to renew their existing license through this online portal.
This online application and payment process is NOT for:
- New Permanent Food Service Facilities (including those with a change of ownership).
- New Mobile Food Service Facilities.
- Temporary Food Service Facilities.

What You Need Before You Start
To renew your Permanent Food Service Facility license online, you must have the following information readily available. The system will not save your progress if you leave the site.
Renewal Notice: The notice sent to you via mail. This includes your food service facility license number and an invoice number (needed for applying the correct fees).
Workers’ Compensation Information:
- Your insurance company name and policy number OR
- A Certificate of Compliance/Letter of Exemption from the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission (WCC).
If you provided a WCC document in a prior licensing period and your status hasn't changed, you don't need to resubmit it. If your status has changed and you now have no paid employees, you must get the appropriate WCC document Online WCC Application for Certificate of Compliance before continuing.
Form of Payment: Be ready to pay with a credit card, debit card, or eCheck.
Important Fees: A 2.39% convenience fee will be charged for credit cards and debit cards or a $0.50 fee for eCheck payments.
Payment Information
Your renewal payment will include all outstanding fees, such as the license fee, late fees, and any 2nd or subsequent re-inspection fees, if applicable. You must pay the full amount due; partial payments will not be accepted by the online system.
What Happens After You Submit?
Once you submit your application, required documents, and payment, it will be reviewed for accuracy. Your food service facility license will be sent to you via First Class Mail within 30 days of receiving a complete and accurate application.

- Signed Commissary or Base of Operations Authorization Form from your Home County of Origin OR
- An inspection report from the Home County of Origin AND
- The name and address of the Base of Operations located in the Home County of Origin (this information must be filled in on the Mobile Reciprocity Acknowledgement Form)
- Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plan-REVISED plans only
