Job Description
Nature of Work:
Under the supervision of the Strengthening Families and Prevention Supervisors, will facilitate the Strengthening Families Program curriculum with groups of parents, adolescents or children, virtually or in person. Strengthening Families is a once-a-week, 14-week program for parents and their children at-risk for substance use disorders ages 6 to 17. The Program encourages family bonding by increasing communication skills. |
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED). |
Experience:
Teaching or leading groups with stressed families/families in crisis, adults, adolescents or children. |
License or Certification:
Two 1/5-day Strengthening Families Program Facilitator Group Leader Training (if hired, will be required to take this training offered by the Department of Health on a later date) |
Desired or Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education, human services or public health preferred. |
