Job Description
Nature of Work: Under the supervision of the Strengthening Families Supervisor and Prevention Supervisor, consultants will facilitate the Strengthening Families Program curriculum with groups of parents, adolescents, or children, virtually or in person. Strengthening Families is a once a week, 14-week program for parents and their children at-risk for substance misuse ages 6-17. The program encourages family bonding by increasing communication skills. |
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED) |
Experience: Teaching experience or experience in leading groups with stressed families/families in crisis of adults, adolescents or children is preferred. |
Desired or Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education, human services or public health preferred. Completed two day Strengthening Families Program Facilitator Group Leader Training (if hired, candidate will be required to take this training offered by the Department of Health on a later date). Cultural Competency Training to be completed within six months of hire, provided by the Department of Health. |
