Salary: $17.00 to $18.50 per hour
Core Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
Benefits: Participation in the county’s group health plan (including dental, optical, and prescription), paid holidays, annual leave and sick leave. The selected employee may also participate in the county’s deferred compensation program at his or her own expense.
Nature of Work: The Care Coordinator will provide non-clinical assistance and recovery support, while maintaining contact and follow-up with individuals who have utilized crisis services. The Care Coordinator will assist individuals with navigating the service delivery system. They will access wrap-around services using a multisystem approach with the goal to improve outcomes for individuals who have utilized crisis services and are opioid dependent and/or have other substance use disorders (SUD). The Care Coordinator is directly supervised by the MORR Project Coordinator, with the majority of the work being conducted independently in the field.
Education: Associate’s degree in human services field.
Required Experience: Two years case management experience working with SUD individuals. One of those two years should be in guiding principles of recovery that assist individuals to improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life and reach their full potential. In addition, interested candidates must also have strong written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of treatment/provider and recovery resources in Anne Arundel County and reliable transportation.
