Salary: $18.96 per hour

Benefits: Participation in the county’s group health plan (including dental, prescription and optical), paid holidays, annual and sick leave. The selected employee may also participate in the county’s deferred compensation program at his or her own expense.

Job Description

Nature of Work: The Recovery Care Coordinator will provide nonclinical assistance and recovery support, while maintaining contact and follow-up with individuals who have utilized crisis services. The Care Coordinator will assist individuals with navigating the service delivery system, accessing wrap-around services using a multisystem approach with the goal to improve outcomes for individuals who have utilized crisis services, are opioid dependent and/or have other substance use disorders (SUD). The Care Coordinator is directly supervised by the Maryland Opioid Rapid Response (MORR) Project Coordinator, with majority of the work being conducted independently in the field. Core hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., operating Tuesday through Saturday.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or Equivalency.

Required Experience: Two years case management experience working with SUD individuals. One of those two years should be in guiding principles of recovery that assist individuals to improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life and reach their full potential. In addition, interested candidates must also have strong written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of treatment/provider and recovery resources in Anne Arundel County and reliable transportation.
