Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Salary: $60-80 per hour for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatrist; $50-70 per hour for Nurse Practitioner (Non Psych)
Benefits: Participation in the County’s group health plan including prescription, dental, and optical, paid holidays and sick leave. Optional deferred compensation program at employee’s own expense.

Job Description

Nature of Work:

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatrist: Provide psychiatric medication management to individuals in the Road to Recovery Opioid Treatment Program. Diagnose and admits patients, prescribing and adjusting psychiatric medication as needed. Must be able to work at minimum 2 days per week, and must be available for emergent needs during the week.

Wellmobile Practitioner: Responsible for meeting, assessing and diagnosing patients seeking services from the Wellmobile, a low threshold mobile/virtual buprenorphine program. Prescribe buprenorphine and other medications as indicated.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
Experience:

Prescribing psychiatric medication to individuals with substance use disorders and/or prescribing buprenorphine and working with patients receiving medication for opioid use disorder.

License or Certification:

Must possess a current license as a Nurse Practitioner from the Maryland Board of Nursing and/or have a psych specialization from the Maryland Board of Physicians.

Desired or Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with individuals on medication in the treatment of opioid use disorders to include buprenorphine, methadone and naltrexone.
