Job Description
| Nature of Work:
Oversee the four Substance Use Prevention Coalitions of Anne Arundel County through the stages of the Strategic Prevention Framework model including needs assessment, capacity building, strategic planning, implementation and evaluation. Provide coordination and technical assistance to the coalitions. Requires strong verbal and written skills. Involves monitoring grants, budgets and reports. Requires experience in public speaking, use of a personal computer such as Microsoft Office, data collection and analysis, capacity building, strategic planning and implementation of prevention programs. Requires travel to locations within Anne Arundel County. Required to have a personal vehicle available for use with mileage reimbursement provided per Department of Health policies and will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in Maryland. |
Minimum Qualifications
| Education: Bachelor’s degree in health education, public health or related field from an accredited college or university. |
| Experience:
At least two years of professional experience in public health or health services. |
| Desired or Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in data collection and analysis and leading community coalitions. Knowledgeable of environmental and population-based substance use prevention evidence-based interventions. |
