Salary: $17.25 per hour
Benefits: Participation in the county’s group health plan (including dental, optical, and prescription), paid holidays, annual leave and sick leave. The selected employee may also participate in the county’s deferred compensation program at his or her own expense.
Nature of Work: Under the supervision of the Program Manager of Recovery Support Services, this position will be responsible for supervising nonclinical peer support specialist staff. Duties include: engaging, educating and supporting individuals to make life changes necessary to recover from disabling mental illness and/or substance use disorder conditions; performing administrative support duties for Recovery Support Services Program activities as assigned. Core hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Education: High school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED).
Experience: Two years of uninterrupted recovery from mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
Desired or Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants with a minimum of two years of supervisory experience and certification as a peer support specialistand/or approved peer supervisor. Desired candidates will also possess exceptional organizational and time management skills.
