Job Description
Nature of Work:
Oversee the Opioid Misuse Prevention Program (OMPP) initiative including the implementation of a countywide workgroup that will utilize the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) model including needs assessment, capacity building, strategic planning, implementation and evaluation. Provide coordination and technical assistance of community opioid misuse prevention strategies. Write reports, monitor grantee activities and conduct community presentations and face-to-face outreach with pharmacists and prescribers to encourage them to talk and/or provide materials to customers on the dangers of prescription opioids. |
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associate degree in the human services field from an accredited college or university. |
Experience:
At least two years of professional experience in public health or health services. |
Desired or Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in health education or public health preferred. Experience working with physicians and/or pharmacists; in data collection and analysis; in leading community coalitions; and in substance use prevention. |
