Work Locations: Anne Arundel County – ZIP codes concentrated in the north region.
Salary: $12.50 per 15 minute billable unit of service. $100 per month auto stipend.
Nature of Work: The Nurse Monitor shall travel throughout Anne Arundel County to the homes of the Maryland Medical Assistance Program participants to verify the initial standard assessment of functional capability, termed the interRAI Home Care Assessment Form; complete a nursing assessment; evaluate the delivery of care performed by Residential Service Agency/Personal Assistance Provider Agency staff; and determine the need for discharge from personal assistance services or referral to other services. The Registered Nurse Consultant works from home Monday through Friday and reports to the Main Office a minimum of once a month.
Education/Experience: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for registered nurse.
License: Candidates for this position must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing, as well as professional liability insurance and CPR. Must possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland as well as a Certificate of Auto Insurance.
Special Requirements of the Classification: Preference will be given to those with Community Health home visiting experience. The incumbent must be able to work independently, be knowledgeable of community resources or willing to learn about them, have the ability to travel throughout the county to monitor cases, and be computer literate.
