Job Description:
Bureau of School Health and Support, School Health Services, Part Time Contractual, 9 Month Positions (2 days per week or 4 days per week), Open and Continuous
Under the supervision of the designated School Health Nurse, this position manages the activities of the school health room. These duties include first aid and administration emergency medication. Responsibilities may include a variety of health tasks and clerical work in assisting students with health related needs. Nature of work involves lifting, positioning, transferring, and aiding in bodily functions as needed. These positions will follow the Evening High School student schedule where students will be in attendance 6 hours per day (Monday evening through Thursday evening) with the exception of weeks with student holidays.
Work hours for all School Health Evening High School staff start at 3:15 p.m. and end at 9:15 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: None
License: Candidates must possess a current approved Nursing Assistant Certificate issued by the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
Driver’s License Required
