Job Description
Nature of Work: Under the supervision of the Strengthening Families Bilingual Countywide Expansion Supervisor and the Prevention Supervisor, this public health professional is responsible for the Site Coordination of the Strengthening Families Program at Anne Arundel County Public Schools, virtually and at Ordnance Road Correctional Center. Responsible for assisting and coordinating the implementation of all SFP cycles. Must have the ability to communicate in both English and Spanish. Assist with establishing procedures and internal monitoring and reporting systems to ensure effective grant program administration and compliance with the MD Consortium Grant and other grants. Assisting in maintaining an up-to-date database of grant information, including a calendar of grant deadlines, summary of grant program requirements and grant implementation progress. Assist in monitoring program budgets and track programmatic expenditures. Assist in examining and analyzing expenses and fiscal documents. Responsible for performing all duties of a site coordinator for the SFP including recruiting and supervision of staff, during site coordination; securing locations for programs based on agreement with AACPS; recruiting participating families; logistics such as ordering food, program materials, and supplies, coordinating transportation, childcare, and linking families to community services; completing attendance and reports; telephone and email correspondence with program participants and staff. Promote and recruit for Strengthening Families in the community to increase awareness of the program, connect with potential qualified facilitators and increase family participation. The position will require some evening hours and the employee will be able to flex their regular working schedule, and occasional weekend hours to assist in coordinating the Strengthening Families Program and attend other community meetings and events. Respond to call-down drills or actual emergency events as soon as possible, regardless of when the message is received. |
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in public health, health education, social work or related field from an accredited college or university. |
Experience: Experience with site coordination of the Strengthening Families Program or any other family based program. |
Desired or Preferred Qualifications: Strengthening Families Program (7-17) Family Coach Certification |
