|Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.|

Nature of Work:
Under direct supervision from the Immunizations Program's Community Health Nurse Program Supervisor, this bilingual (English and Spanish) position performs a variety of complex and independent secretarial duties. Requires an understanding of office procedures and the ability to initiate them independently and maintain an amiable relationship with other employees and the public. Requires knowledge of all Departmental programs as they relate to the Department's mission to preserve, promote and protect the health and well-being of all people by advancing health equity in Anne Arundel County. Experience collecting data and using electronic databases and other computer software packages.
Required to have a personal vehicle available for use with mileage reimbursement provided per Department of Health policies and will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in Maryland. Required to work day shift, evening shift and weekends as needed and must be able to stand, bend and lift up to 25 lbs.
|Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED)|
Two years performing secretarial or clerical work, including working with computer programs and typing.
Thirty credit hours with a major in secretarial science or office technology from an accredited college or technical school may be substituted at the rate of thirty credits for one year of experience up to two years of the required experience.
Desired or Preferred Qualifications:
Must be bilingual in Spanish. Previous secretarial experience. Strong computer skills.
