- 1 cup fat-free milk
- 1 cup water
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/4 cup raisins
Combine milk, water, brown sugar and salt in small pot. Bring to boil; reduce heat to low. Stir in oats. Cook until thick, 5 minutes. Divide raisins between servings.
Notes: Mix up the flavors with other fruits and spices.
Pear-Cranberry: 1 large chopped pear and 1/4 cup dried cranberries.
Banana-Ginger: 2 Tbsp. minced crystallized ginger and 1/2 large, sliced banana.
Apple-Walnut: 1 peeled, chopped apple, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon and 2 Tbsp. walnuts.
Makes 2 servings.
