Salary: $60,000 – $75,000 per year

Job Description

Nature of Work:

The lead staffer for Healthy Anne Arundel Coalition (HAAC) is responsible for overseeing all functions pertaining to the coalition. Schedules and plans all meetings for the Guiding Coalition (leadership) and the larger community coalition. This includes coordinating with the Guiding Coalition regarding any research and reports requested, overseeing finances, and working with leadership for procurement and finance approval. Requires actively looking for and applying for grants that could help sustain HAAC. The Guiding Coalition will meet quarterly and the overall community coalition will meet 2-3 times a year. In time, sub-committees will be created and the lead staffer will be in charge of coordination for those groups as well. In charge of minutes and summary reports from each meeting as well as creating presentations or securing presenters as necessary. Requires visibility in the community to achieve community support and work towards health equity. May be required to go to community meetings that could be helpful for the HAAC. Responsible for the promotion and publicity of HAAC. This will include working with the Office of Communications at the Department of Health to ensure consistent messaging and awareness of the HAAC. This will also involve the management of HAAC’s online content and image, including drafting and tracking social media posts, monitoring online comments, and managing website content for an updated platform.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree.
Desired or Preferred Qualifications:

Grant management experience preferred.
