Job Description
| Nature of Work:
Under the general supervision of the Director of the Office of Assessment and Planning, lead, support, monitor and coordinate a wide range of complex strategic health policy and planning activities related to countywide intervention efforts; with a particular emphasis on evaluating, analyzing, researching and developing policies and programs that address the public health challenges presented by gun violence prevention/intervention. Assist in interpreting federal and state policies and guidelines related to gun violence, interruption and prevention. Arrange and facilitate meetings, complete reports and other required documentation. Other areas in public health may be addressed. |
Minimum Qualifications
| Education: Bachelor’s degree in public administration, health care administration, behavioral health, social work, psychology or other related field from an accredited college or university. |
| Experience:
Two years of related professional work experience OR master’s degree in one of the fields listed above and one year of related experience. |
| Desired or Preferred Qualifications:
Very strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and on a team. Excellent written and oral communication skills. An advanced understanding of the public behavioral health system. Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel. |
