Department of Health Announces Notice of Funding Availability for Opioid Abatement Fund Community Grants
The Anne Arundel County Department of Health (AACDOH) is seeking community and faith-based behavioral health providers interested in receiving funding to establish or enhance opioid abatement activities that align with the Anne Arundel County Opioid Intervention Team Strategic Plan and the following Priority Areas: Prevention and Education, and Recovery. Priority will be given to applications that include diversity, equity and inclusion as a component of the proposed project.
Opioid Abatement Fund Community Grant funds may only be used to cover costs that align with the Opioid Intervention Team Strategic Plan Priority Areas and are not funded through other opportunities. Examples of eligible activities include, but are not limited to, awareness and education campaigns, recovery support services, training and outreach activities. Please refer to the NOFA for ineligible expenditures. Grant funds will be available for a period of 2 years, based on appropriations and performance.
Interested Anne Arundel County behavioral health providers shall apply to the AACDOH's Behavioral Health Bureau as described in the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). Completed applications and supporting documentation should be submitted to bh.community.grants@aacounty.org.
