Job Description
| Nature of Work:
Provide environmental health services with a focus on enforcement of well construction regulations, monitoring groundwater, drinking water quality and handling water quality complaints, to fulfill the mission of the Department of Health Department, which is to preserve, protect and promote the health of the citizens of Anne Arundel County. |
Minimum Qualifications
| Education: Bachelor’s degree in biological, environmental, or physical sciences from an accredited college or university. |
| License or Certification:
Specialist I: Must possess a Certificate of Eligibility to be licensed as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist from the Maryland Board of Environmental Health Specialists. Download the certificate application. Specialist II: Must possess a License as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist from the Maryland State Board of Environmental Health Specialists. |

Valid non-commercial Class C motor vehicle operator’s license in Maryland is required. |
