Salary: $60-$120 per hour based on licensure and experience

Hours: 5:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Job Description

Nature of Work: This is a contractual consultant position, renewed annually. Under the supervision of the Medical Director and Program Manager, the incumbent is responsible for providing psychiatric clinical services to RTR patients in accordance with clinic policies. In addition, the consultant will assist in the overall clinical care of patients receiving medication-assisted treatment including methadone, buprenorphine and naltrexone.

Duties: Provide direct clinical care to clinic patients. Perform evaluations of patients admitted to RTR and ongoing medication management. Follow documentation of patients’ therapeutic process, evaluate necessity for treatment continuation, modify treatment plans and document changes in accordance with clinic policy. Prescribe all psychotropic medications involved in treatment and monitor the ongoing effectiveness, need and dosage for the prescribed medication. The CRNP/Psychiatrist provides psychiatric input at weekly clinical staff meetings and assists in the formulation and implementation of individualized treatment plans. The incumbent may also provide assistance with diagnosing and admitting patients into the MAT program, prescribing and adjusting medication dosage for opioid use disorder, performing physicals and consulting with other physicians as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates for this position must possess a current license from the Maryland Board of Nursing with psych specialization or from the Maryland
  • Must be data waivered to prescribe buprenorphine.
  • Experienced in addiction medicine is preferred.
  • Must provide documentation of current professional malpractice insurance with a minimum of $1 million per incident/ $3 million aggregate coverage.
