Salary: $35.96 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Benefits: Participation in the County’s group health plan (including dental, prescription and optical), as well as paid holidays and annual and sick leave, and mileage reimbursement. The selected employee may also participate in the County’s deferred compensation program at his or her own expense.
Job Description
Nature of Work: Responsible for supervising day-to-day operations and conducting outreach to promote the asthma and lead home visiting programs, supervising three Parent Educators and carrying a caseload of 50 children. Expected to demonstrate professionalism, compassion and understanding while reserving judgement in all communications with the children and their primary caregivers.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: A bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
Notes:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and one year of experience as a registered nurse may be substituted for the required education.
- Two years of experience as a registered nurse may be substituted for the required education.
Desired or Preferred Qualifications: Asthma/lead case management and/or home visiting experience preferred.
License: Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing.
