Job Description
| Nature of Work: Under the supervision of the Healthy Start Program Supervisor, will provide education and case management through home visits, face to face contacts and telephone calls to high risk pregnant women, postpartum women and children up to 2 years. Provides outreach to private individuals, health care providers, community groups and organizations to provide education about services, available resources and to obtain Healthy Start referrals. |
Minimum Qualifications
| Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university. |
| Experience: Maternal Child Health and/or home visiting experience preferred |
| License or Certification: Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing |
| Notes: A bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and one year of experience as a registered nurse may be substituted for the required education. Two years of experience as a registered nurse may be substituted for the required education. |
| Desired or Preferred Qualifications: Spanish-speaking is desired but not required. |
