Celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month

We want to open the channels of communication on mental health, provide resources and share messages that will help break down the walls of stigma. You are invited to participate in Mental Health Awareness Month by sharing a photo about one or more of the focus topics listed below. The photos will be shared on our Mental Health Awareness Month webpage and on social media!

  1. Spreading acceptance and support 
    Take a selfie and tell us what makes you feel accepted and/ or supported. 
    “I feel accepted and/ or supported when...” (ex. “People listen to what I have to say.”)
  2. Strategies for managing mental health 
    Take a selfie and tell us what self care looks like for you. 
    “To me, self-care is...” (“spending time in the garden.”)
  3. Language matters 
    Snap a photo of words or phrases that make you feel safe and accepted? 
    “Words that make me feel accepted are...” (“Thanks for your help!”)

Submitted photos will be used during Mental Health Awareness Month (and possibly beyond) to highlight that recovery is achievable and success is possible. Your participation is greatly appreciated. Thank you for sharing what mental health means to you!

How to Participate:

  1. Take a selfie or photo.
  2. Select the category for your photo.
  3. Submit your photo below and complete the focus statement.

This will be posted on social media, so it is up to you if you want to include your face or not.
