Salary: $18.62 per hour

Benefits: Participation in the county’s group health plan (including prescription, dental and optical), paid holidays, annual leave and sick leave. The selected employee may also participate in the county’s deferred compensation program at his or her own expense.

Job Description

Nature of Work: Under the general supervision of the Community Health Nurse Program Supervisor in the Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response (OEPR), this position functions as the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS)/Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) Coordinator for OEPR. This position is charged with maintaining the Department’s SNS/CRI plans and related documents; providing and arranging training in bioterrorism and public health preparedness for Department staff; serving as the liaison to Immunization Services for managing supplies during an emergency; maintaining Department emergency supplies inventory; and representing OEPR at local, regional and state meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university

Experience: One year experience in administrative or professional work

Notes:

  • Candidates may substitute additional experience in administrative staff or professional work on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
  • Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for each year of the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations; or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.

Desired or Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual Spanish/English
