Salary: $40,000 – $57,000
Benefits: Participation in the county’s group health plan (including dental, optical and prescription), paid holidays, annual and sick leave. The selected employee may also participate in the county’s deferred compensation program at his or her own expense.
Nature of Work: Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, the main function of this position is to provide direct mental health therapeutic and counseling services to community residents diagnosed with opioid use disorder seeking Medication Assisted Treatment and their affected families. Clinic Hours are 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Education: Master’s degree preferred. Bachelor’s and associates level education approved by the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists and the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners for certification and licensing also accepted.
Experience: At least two or more years of experience in addiction counseling or working with dually diagnosed patients in mental health and substance use disorders preferred.
License: Good standing as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Graduate Counselor (LGPC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker – Certified (LCSW-C) is preferred.
Certification by the Board of Professional Counselors as a CAC-AD, CSC-AD and ADT will be considered.
