Get a FREE screening
LifeScreen is the Department of Health's colorectal cancer screening program that provides free colonoscopies. Screenings are available to Anne Arundel County residents who are:
- Between the ages of 50 and 64
- Uninsured
- Income eligible
The Department of Health recommends that everyone age 50 or older be screened for colorectal cancer. Colorectal cancer screening can both detect and help prevent cancer. Through the LifeScreen program, eligible County residents can receive free colonoscopies, which are considered to be the most thorough type of screening for colorectal cancer.
The Department of Health also offers a Colorectal Cancer Information Kit that explains colorectal cancer screening procedures, risk factors, symptoms and prevention measures. The kit includes a list of organizations that offer colorectal cancer resources. For more information, call the Learn To Live Line at 410-222-7979 or see the Colorectal Cancer Brochure.
