Job Description
Nature of Work: Under the supervision of the appropriate Program Supervisor, this is the professional health services (school nurse) component of the pupil services team. Functions as liaison between the Anne Arundel County Department of Health, Anne Arundel County Public Schools, one or more designated schools, the student and his/her family, and the student's health care provider. Provide appropriate health services, supervision of delegated nursing tasks, counseling and resource referrals to students, parents and staff at assigned schools during the school year. Provide nursing services in Special Education schools, camps, or other schools where summer programs requiring nursing services take place during summer school. |
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university. |
Experience: Two years of registered nurse experience. |
License or Certification: Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing. |
Notes: Education determined by the Maryland State Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered Nurse (preference will be given to applicants with a bachelor's degree in nursing). |
Desired or Preferred Qualifications: School Health experience. |
