Job Description
Nature of Work: Under the supervision of the appropriate Program Supervisor, this is the professional health services (school nurse) component of the pupil services team. Functions as a liaison between the Anne Arundel County Department of Health, Anne Arundel County Public Schools, one or more designated schools, the student and his/her family, and the student's health care provider. Provides appropriate health services, supervision of delegated nursing tasks, counseling and resource referrals to students, parents and staff at assigned schools during the school year. |
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university. Bachelor’s degree in nursing |
Experience: Two years as a registered nurse. |
License or Certification: Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing. Driver’s License Required. |
Notes: Education is determined by the Maryland Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered Nurses. |
Desired or Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in nursing. |
