Community Health Nurse Supervisor

Nature of Work:

Responsible for the supervision of the day-to-day operations of the asthma and lead home visiting programs. Under the supervision of the Program Manager, focus on planning, developing, implementing and evaluating the services provided to clients of the Childhood Asthma and Lead Environmental Case Management program. Major responsibilities include assisting the Program Manager in developing program standards and monitoring compliance; monitoring staff expenditure reports, program inventory, and program resources; supervising staff; coordinating services with other disciplines, health services providers, and agencies; and providing program services.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

Two years as a nurse plus at least one year in an administrative, supervisory, consultative, or teaching capacity. Experience providing health education. Experience working with community partners. Chronic disease case management and/or home visiting experience preferred.

License or Certification:

Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing.

Notes:

1. A bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and one year of experience as a registered nurse may be substituted for the required education.
2. Two years of experience as a registered nurse may be substituted for the required education.
