Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Job Description

Nature of Work:

Responsible for overseeing all billing, coding, reimbursement and provider credentialing functions for the Department of Health, including substance use disorder services, immunizations, reproductive health services and dental services. Ensure accurate, compliant and timely billing across multiple payer sources while managing credentialing and enrollment for clinical staff. Requires strong knowledge of public health billing, Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance and regulatory compliance.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, business administration, finance or related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

Minimum of five years in health care billing and revenue cycle management. Demonstrated experience with Medicaid, Medicare and commercial insurance billing. Experience with provider credentialing and payer enrollment. Knowledge of billing for substance use disorder services, immunizations, reproductive health services and dental services. Strong understanding of health care compliance and regulatory requirements. Proficiency with electronic health records and billing systems.

Desired or Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a public health department or community health setting. Certification such as Certified Professional Biller (CPB), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Health Care Access Manager (CHAM) or equivalent. Supervisory or management experience. Familiarity with grant-funded or publicly funded health care programs.
