Location: 711 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401 and Jennifer Road Detention Center |
Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. |

Job Description
Nature of Work: Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, provide direct counseling services to individuals receiving treatment under the Road to Recovery Opioid Treatment Program, servicing the community clinic on Bestgate Road in Annapolis, as well as inmates at the Jennifer Road Detention Center. |
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associate degree in addictions counseling or related field from an accredited college or university. |
Experience: Working with individuals on medication in the treatment of opioid use disorder, as evidenced by employment history. Have an understanding and knowledge of the pharmacotherapeutic medications used to treat opioid use disorder. Experience conducting screenings and assessments for substance use disorder treatment with an understanding of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) levels of care and Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th Edition (DSM-5) criteria for Opioid Use Disorder. |
License or Certification: Good standing as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker – Certified (LCSW-C) or Certification by the Board of Professional Counselors as a CAC-AD, CSC-AD, or ADT. |
Notes: Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in sociology, addictions counseling, health and human services, social work, or related major from an accredited college or university OR a Master's degree in counseling or social work from an accredited college or university, will also be considered. |
Desired or Preferred Qualifications: Experience with case management of patients with active tuberculosis and latent tuberculosis infection. Ability to assess patients using the nursing process and critical thinking skills. Experience working with culturally diverse populations. Experience in making home visits utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment. Experience with electronic medical records and data entry software. Fluency in Spanish, or another language, in addition to English. |
