STD Clinical Services

The STD Clinical Services provides risk assessment, intervention, treatment and education. Through the Department's STD Program, Anne Arundel County residents who have or think they have an STD, or want to be screened for an STD can be evaluated and treated by contracted medical providers, documentation of Anne Arundel County residence is required. Partner Counseling and Referral Services

Partner Counseling and Referral Services is a service provided by a specially trained person who helps people diagnosed with syphilis or HIV/AIDS inform their sex partner or other contacts that they should be tested. This is done without naming the person who was diagnosed with the illness. Call 410-222-7382 and ask for the staff person who does "partner notification."

Additionally, a physician may request the assistance of the Anne Arundel County Department of Health in order to provide services for clients and their respective partners that are at risk or test positive for syphilis or HIV/AIDS. Services include counseling, testing, education, partner notification and case management services. For more information regarding services available, call the HIV Program at 410-222-7108.
