Salary: $50,000 per year
Benefits: Participation in the county’s group health insurance program (including dental, prescription and optical); paid holidays, annual leave and sick leave. The selected employee may also participate in the county’s deferred compensation program at his or her own expense.
Nature of Work: Under the supervision of the senior epidemiologist, this position will provide data support and interpretation for the activities of the Office of Assessment and Planning and act as a direct liaison to the Bureau of Behavioral Health Services.
Education: Possession of a master’s degree in the field of public health from an accredited college or university with a minimum of three graduate courses in epidemiology and one graduate course in biostatistics.

Desired or Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess strong technical writing skills in addition a data analyst function. Since OAP services all programs within the Department of Health, the ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a collaborative environment. Strong organizational skills are essential, as OAP is typically responsible for deliverables in several concurrent, time-bound projects. Candidate must have a full proficiency with statistical software (SAS preferred), as well as MS Office Suite.
